OUR ANGEL ALEX

Created by Niquie 13 years ago
Alex didnt have much time with us, but those 18 weeks are so precious to us, It is the saddest, hardest most trumatic experience we have had to endure and we pray it will never happen again. Alex has had such a huge impact on our lives we know understand that family really must come first, that work will wait and no one every knows how long we have together. This is the Reading his dad read at Alex's funeral: Here I am Lord I, The Lord Of Sea And Sky, I Have Heard My People Cry. All Who Dwell In Dark And Sin, My Hand Will Save. I Who Made The Stars Of Night, I Will Make Their Darkness Bright. Who Will Bear My Light To Them? Whom Shall I Send? Here I Am Lord, Is It I Lord? I Have Heard You Calling In The Night. I Will Go Lord, If You Lead Me. I Will Hold Your People In My Heart. I, The Lord Of Snow And Rain, I Have Born My Peoples Pain. I Have Wept For Love Of Them, They Turn Away. I Will Break Their Hearts Of Stone, Give Them Hearts For Love Alone. I Will Speak My Word To Them, Whom Shall I Send? Here I Am Lord, Is It I Lord? I Have Heard You Calling In The Night. I Will Go Lord, If You Lead Me. I Will Hold Your People In My Heart. I, The Lord Of Wind And Flame, I Will Tend The Poor And Lame. I Will Set A Feast For Them, My Hand Will Save Finest Bread I Will Provide, Till Their Hearts Be Satisfied. I Will Give My Life To Them, Whom Shall I Send? Here I Am Lord, Is It I Lord? I Have Heard You Calling In The Night. I Will Go Lord, If You Lead Me. I Will Hold Your People In My Heart. We had not talked about what he would read or that he would read anything, but this is the hymn that I would have chosen and I think Alex would to if he/she could. Some other poems we have recieved that mean alot to us are: 1. "Daddy please don't look so sad, Mummy please don't cry. Cause I'm in the arms of Granddad, And he sings me lullabies. Please try not to question God, don't think he is unkind. Don't think he sent me to you And then just changed his mind. You see I am a special child, I’m needed up above. I'm the special gift you gave Him, A product of your love. I'll always be there with you, So watch the sky at night. Look for the brightest star and know That's my halo's brilliant light. You'll see me in the morning frost That mists your window pane. That's me in the summer showers, I'll be dancing in the rain. When you feel a gentle breeze From a gentle wind that blows. Know that it's your son, planting a kiss upon your nose. When you see a child playing and your heart feels a tug, Don't be sad mummy, that's just me Giving your heart a hug. So daddy, don’t look so sad and Mummy please don't cry. I'm in the arms of Granddad and he sings me lullabies! 2. DO NOT STAND AT MY GRAVE Do not stand at my grave and weep; I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there, I did not die. 3. OUR ANGEL BABY ALEX FOULDS An Angel Never Dies Don’t Let Them Say I Wasn’t Born, That Something Stopped My Heart I Felt Each Tender Squeeze You Gave, I’ve Loved You From The Start. Although My Body You Can’t Hold It Doesn’t Mean I’m Gone This World Was Worthy, Not Of Me God Chose That I Move On. I Know The Pain That Drowns Your Soul, What You Are Forced To Face You Have My Word, I’ll Fill Your Arms, Someday We Will Embrace. You’ll Hear That It Was Meant To Be, God Doesn’t Make Mistakes But That Won’t Soften Your Worst Blow, Or Make Your Heart Not Ache. I’m Watching Over All You Do, Another Child You’ll Bear Believe Me When I Say To You, That I Am Always There. There Will Come A Time, I Promise You, When You Will Hold My Hand, Stroke My Face And Kiss My Lips And Then You’ll Understand. Although I’ve Never Breathed Your Air, Or Gazed Into Your Eyes That Doesn’t Mean I Never Was, An Angel Never Dies. 4. The sky is filled with Angels With puffy lacy wings The remnants of God's beauty With treasures they now bring Each one of them a Guardian That travels in the sky To watch throughout eternity Their parents from on high Smiles that come from Angels They fall like crystal rain Eases earthly burdens Lifting all life's pain Halos so astounding That glitter gold each day Following their loved ones In such a perfect way Wings in gentle breezes That fall from up above Kissing every parent With everlasting love Angels soar through heaven With everlasting light Looking down from heaven Saying their "goodnights" Kissing all who loved them So gently on the face This life's tender mercy Each parent can embrace Wings and shiny halos Travel from on high Surrounding all their loved ones They never say good-bye. 5. The world may never notice If a Snowdrop doesn't bloom, Or even pause to wonder If the petals fall too soon. But every life that ever forms, Or ever comes to be, Touches the world in some small way For all eternity. The little one we longed for Was swiftly here and gone. But the love that was then planted Is a light that still shines on. And though our arms are empty, Our hearts know what to do. Every beating of our hearts Says that we love you. 6. Time has taken me from you, Although not very far. I'll be watching through the sunshine And through the brightest star. I'll be watching all of you, From the heavens up above. So take good care of each other And carry all my love. If you're ever wondering If I'm there, here's where you can start. Take a look inside yourself Deep within your heart. I'll always be your baby, Your child (grandchild), your best friend. So anytime you need me, Close your eyes I'm back again.
